With the LILY PAD mobile unit, artists can play wherever they feel inspired, outside the confines of a traditional studio.






Who is Lily Wen?

Lily Wen is a New York-based producer, engineer, mixer and host of WFMU radio show BUZZSAW. She started the independent record label Figure & Ground in 2015, producing the debut albums by Combo Chimbita, STEFA* and Bulla en el Barrio. Lily is a house engineer at Figure 8 Recording in Brooklyn. She has worked with artists such as Meshell Ndegeocello, Moses Sumney, Will Butler, Denzel Curry, Geese, Laraaji, Eartheater, Marshall Allen, Irreversible Entanglements, Kimbra, Marc Ribot, Esperanza Spalding, Mei Semones, Allegra Krieger, Bill Frisell and Kelsey Lu. Lily has live experience running FOH and monitors - most recently for Ichiko Aoba and Owen Pallett on their 2025 US tour. See full discography.

If you want to have recording services on the road, the LILY PAD can link up to festivals or join you on tours.





Booking


It’s easy to get set up! After an initial conversation, we ask you to fill out a sheet with your location, instrumentation, gear, set-up specifications, etc. We take care of everything and customize the rig.

Primary Gear



The studio is centered on a Metric Halo ULN-8 3D interface + MOTO 8p, plus eight analog pre-amps: four Sphere channels and four API channels.
